PROFFESIONAL WORKS part 3 (2016)

And here are my other works I'd like to share with you. Once again these scenes were made for Evermotion.

PROFFESIONAL WORKS part 2 (2016)

Bunch of some of my renders I made for Evermotion. I used Blender and Photoshop for modelling and texturing along with V-Ray. The first two images were rendered with Cycles and became covers of archmodels dedicated for Blender users.

CHRISTMAS DINNERSAURS (2015)

Time for something animated! "Christmas Dinnersaurs" is a story based on an old Polish tradition. According to it when the First Star appears in the sky, it's time to serve Christmas Dinner. I wrote and directed this movie for Evermotion and became its supervisor along with talented Barbara Witkowska. My main responsibilities were animation, post production and simulation. You'll find full credit list here! I hope you'll like these two oldies!

PROFESSIONAL WORKS part 1 (2015)

Some of my latest works made for Evermotion company; like always I used Blender and V-Ray along with Photoshop for texturing and postproduction. All the scenes belong to vary archinterior and archexterior collections that you can find at Evermotion shop. V'oilla!

FISH DETECTIVE (2014)

Obraz
Another work of mine was prepared for a contest called "Future detective" that was hosted at the biggest polish CG site max3d.pl. It was my first experience with Cycles but I decided to take this risk in order to seek for some new rendering solutions. My scene is based on an idea that the level of sea rised so much that the world is controlled by fish. And my fish is a private eye that sits in his fish office trying to solve another fish case. Long story short - I ended up third which was quite an accomplishment. Eighteen contestants, some really great graphics and true CG heavyweights among jury. "Fish detective" was also picked as image of the week at 3dartist (another print!) and render of the week at blendernews.org! Moreover, and I consider it to be my greatest reward, I was once again presented at the greatest site involving art - whatanart. All in all the respond from 3D community was great so I consider my come back after 3 years of silence as pretty darn successful!

PS And let me just add that I would like to dedicate this image to my adorable, sweet little son Timi!

DUNG BEETLE (2011)

Obraz
My entrance for the annual Yaf(a)ray competition in which I finished second. It took me almost 2 months to finish this piece but it was definitely worth it. The entire postproduction was done with nodes. Being aware of all the Yaf(a)ray's 0.1.2 beta limitations (such as lack of render passes and motion blur) I say it was quite an achievement! The thing I like the most here is the unique colour palette of the background and sky. I'm also very glad that all the things you see here are 3D and there are no overpaintings at all.
So far "Dung Beetle" got to the front pages of www.evermotion.org (including The Best of Evermotion Gallery), www.itsartmag.com and www.max3d.pl. Moreover my image got to the official blender artist gallery and was announced an image of the week at www.3dartistonline.com! Moreover Alex Parsons, the moderator of a new site CG Central, picked "Dung Beetle" as the first ever image of the month! And last but not least it was chosen as the image of August and September at blenderownia.

ARCHMODELS vol. 100 (2011)

Picture
Most of my trees I made for the 100th archmodels collection. Everything was made with Blender excluding the render (V-Ray and 3ds Max). You can purchase the entire product at evermotion webpage.

LARVA (2011)

Obraz
My entrance for the 3D contest "Crysis" was entirely made within Blender 2.5 Beta (including all the post production). Although the version I used was a bit buggy and coused some minor problems I managed to achieve the result I planned. The head of the larva was inspired by a photography of a real bug that I found both disguisting and amusing. Nevertheless the image got to the front pages of www.evermotion.org, www.itsartmag.com and to the official gallery of blender artist. It was also chosen as the best image of the week at www.3dartistonline.com and therefore was printed on April 2011. Finally I was asked for a permission to publish Larva at probably the most interesting new graphic site What an ART (I strongly recommend you visit it at once).

OLD DUMMIES (2010)

Picture

This render was inspired by a beautiful photography made by Volker Stenzel; I used Blender 2.49b and - still remaining in a beta stage - Yaf(a)ray 0.1.2. It was supposed to be a very simple, moody, a bit disturbing interior, so no special modelling skills were required. I also wanted to test my method of camera matching (check my tutorials/reviews page for further information) in a non-commercial project. Although the result of my work is quite different than the original photography, I'm happy with the way it looks. Being happy I menaged to finish it this year, I'm ready to return to more colourful, cartoonish style of graphic.

NIGHTHAWKS (2010)

Picture
It was supposed to be my entrance for the annual Yaf(a)ray contest but I failed to finish it on time. Fortunatelly I menaged to send it for another one, Blender World Cup. This is my second work when I decided to use more daring camera shot; it was also a great fun to play with textures and lights on the scene! Again I reminded myself how powerful rendering engine Yaf(a)ray is. My work was rewarded by getting to the front pages of www.evermotion.org and www.max3d.pl; moreover it was voted as the best artwork of the month at www.blenderownia.pl.

SAPPER RAT (2010)

Picture
It took me almost 6 months to finish "Sapper Rat", but it was worth it - another roddent got to the front pages of max3d and evermotion; it was also chosen as the graphic of June at blenderownia and was presented at whatanart webpage. I used internal Blender 2.49b engine and its system nodes for a postproduction and composition. Although I don't think I fullfilled my ambition in 100% this project tought me a lot about lighting, render layers and passes.

PS I'm proud to announce that "Sapper Rat" made his way to "The Best of 2010" at max3d along with other eleven 3D graphics!

DEAD HOUR (2009)

Obraz
"Dead Hour" is my entry for the third Yaf(a)ray Annual Contest called "Crazy Machines" in which I finished third. I used Blender 2.49, Yaf(a)ray 0.1.1 and Photoshop CS2 (mainly to blur the background and falling feathers).

Finally I finished third in the contest. "Dead Hour" was also voted as the second best image of August at Blenderownia and shown in Fresh Batch of Cookies at www.blendercookie.com.

ARCHMODELS vol. 67 (2009)

Picture
Some of the instruments I made for Archmodels67 collection (www.evermotion.org).

ARCHMODELS vol. 63 (2009)

Some of the puzzles I made for Archmodels63 collection (www.evermotion.org).

15 MINUTES OF GLORY (2009)

In March I told myself to create a work completely different from everything I had made so far. "15 Minutes Of Glory" is a great example of my resolution - the work is by many said to be the most colorful, funniest and best of all gathered in here. It's rendered in Blender's Internal, mainly because of the roddent fur. This is the first work I decided to present at the biggest Polish and international websites. The fact that it was shown at the fronts of www.max3d.pl and www.evermotion.org, receiving hundreds of comments, was quite an honour. Moreover, my roddent got to the international Blender Artist gallery and finished second in the monthly Blenderownia contest (www.blender.pl).

FERRIS WHEEL (2009)

The concept for "Ferris Wheel" had been continously modified; finally I finished that work at the end of February 2008. It was a day when I decided to stop creating only black and white graphics, being a bit too bored and tired of their gloomy atmosphere. Nevertheless my graphic finished second in a montly contest at www.blender.pl.

ARCHMODELS vol.62 (2009)

A few lowpoly tenement houses I prepared for Evermotion (www.evermotion.org). It was a great opportunity to imrove my texturing and modelling skills; most of the models consists of less than 1000 polygons.

HOPSCOTCH (2008)

My first detailed human model helped me to get the second place in a monthly contest at www.blender.pl. I returned to Internal render engine mostly because of the new features added to Blender's material editor (such as revolutionary glossy slider).

HOUSEWIFE (2008)

I just couldn't finish that work as a simple visualisation as I planned it to be. With a little help of a girl standing in front of the window and an imperfect dog model this work was voted as a best graphic of the month at www.blender.pl.

BEDBUG (2008)

In Polish "bedbug" means the same as an electronic spy device. Playing on words I reached again for Yaf(a)ray, considering this work as my never-to-be-finished WIP.

MY SCHIZOPHRENIA, THE STORY OF CATS WITH LONG TAILS (2007)

The story told here is based on facts - it was inspired by a true case of a woman suffering for a schizoprenia who used to see black cats with very long tails everywhere. Because I needed to render some fur I decided to give Blender Internal another shot - it payed off; "My Schizophrenia" resulted second in a monthly contest for the best grahic at www.blender.pl

BAD MOTHER (2007)

Being named as "Wyrodna matka" in Polish this work won the first prize in a monthly contest for the best 3d graphic at www.blender.pl. It was also published in an international Blender gallery. I was inspired by Alexandr Rodchenko and his unforgetable photography - "Stairs"; again I used Yaf(a)ray that quickly became my favourite render engine.

BEDROOM (2007)

When I used  Yaf(a)ray as my new render engine I did not expect such a great result. "Bedroom" became my second work that got to the official Bender gallery and was announced as the graphic of the month at www.blender.pl.

RAILWAY TRACK (2007)

My first fully coloured 3d graphic remains one of my favourite even today. While preparing it I discovered some really powerful Blender tools, such as System Nodes or - so called - Physics Buttons.

MY WRISTWATCH (2007)

This is the first scene I decided to render in Yafray instead of Blender Internal. Although the result was quite interesting I told myself not to make any other one-model-studio ever again.

STAIRS (2007)

The idea of this work came from a need - I was searching for a scene that used Radiosity method without any other lightning sources, found nothing, so I did one myself. It was supposed to be just a test but because it received a warm welcome at Polish Blender site I decided to publish it here, in my gallery.

SINK (2007)

I created this scene at the beginning of 2007. It was the first project I made in 3d graphics. The fact, that it was announced as the best graphic of the month at currently dead www.blender3d.pl and got to the international Blender gallery gave me a lot of courage for further work.
